Intel and Nvidia to partner in a bid to solve chip shortage issues

In technology there is never a permanent friend or permanent enemy. The ongoing semiconductor shortage has triggered a new level of partnership between two of the giants chip manufacturers Nvidia and Intel. The Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang says the company would consider leaning on Intel to manufacture some of the Nvidia chips. He was quoted to saying “They are interested in us using their foundries. We are very interested in exploring it”. Up until now, the two companies are direct competitors on both CPU and GPU fronts. Nvidia claims despite self sufficiency of manufacturing, to solve the chip shortage problem, the industry is in dare need of proactive collaboration among players. 

Nvidia CEO says it should be noted that in recent times there have been several partnerships among competitors. Industry experts and commentators says this move is a great conversation point for sportsmanship and respecting each other.
